Accessibility Statement
Last updated: April 21, 2026
Mako Logics LLC is committed to making makologics.com usable for the widest audience we can — including visitors who use assistive technology, keyboard-only navigation, screen magnification, or who have visual, motor, cognitive, or hearing differences. Accessible design is good design, and for a managed IT firm that serves compliance-heavy industries, it also aligns with the standards we hold our clients’ systems to.
Our target standard
We target Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA across the makologics.com website. Where we fall short of that target, we treat it as a defect to fix — not a permanent limitation.
What we’ve implemented
Every page of makologics.com is built to pass automated accessibility checks at 100/100 (Google Lighthouse, as of the last-updated date above). We verify this during each deploy. Specific practices:
- Semantic structure. Landmarks (header, main, footer, nav), heading hierarchy, and lists are marked up using the right HTML elements — not styled divs.
- Keyboard navigation. Every interactive element (links, buttons, form fields) is reachable and operable via keyboard alone, in a logical tab order. Focus rings are visible.
- Color contrast. Body text, buttons, and links are chosen to meet or exceed the WCAG AA contrast ratio (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text) against the navy backgrounds throughout the site.
- Image alternatives. Informational images have descriptive alt text. Decorative images (background textures, hero atmospherics) are marked with empty alt attributes or
aria-hiddenso screen readers skip them. - Forms. Every form field has an associated visible label, clear error messaging, and works with autofill where appropriate. The contact form is keyboard-navigable end to end.
- Motion and video. The homepage background video is muted, silent, and purely decorative. On mobile devices the video is not loaded at all — a still image is served instead. On desktop, visitors with reduced-motion preferences still see the underlying image immediately.
- Responsive layout. The site works across mobile, tablet, and desktop breakpoints without horizontal scrolling or loss of content at 200% zoom.
- Readable typography. Body text is at least 16px, line-height is comfortable, and the site uses a single, highly legible typeface (Inter).
Known limitations
We try to be honest about what’s imperfect. As of the last-updated date above:
- Hero video has no captions. The homepage background video is silent and decorative, so there is no audio to caption. If we add any video with spoken content, we will caption it before publishing.
- Third-party embeds. A small number of third-party widgets (Google Places rating, partner logos from vendor CDNs) are beyond our direct accessibility control. We’ve chosen vendors with a good accessibility record and will replace any widget that regresses.
- PDF downloads and external resources. Our resource guides are designed as accessible web pages first. When a visitor uses “Download as PDF” we rely on the browser’s print-to-PDF output, which preserves the page’s semantic structure but may vary slightly between browsers.
How to report an accessibility issue
If anything on the site is hard to use with assistive technology, is unreadable, or prevents you from reaching the information you need, please tell us. We take accessibility reports seriously and treat them the same way we treat a bug report from a managed client.
When you report an issue, it helps to include:
- The page URL where you ran into the problem.
- What you were trying to do and what happened instead.
- The assistive technology and browser you were using, if you know (for example: NVDA 2025.1 on Firefox, VoiceOver on Safari, Windows Narrator on Edge).
Contact us any of these ways:
- Email: support@makologics.com
- Phone: (281) 206-4848
- Mail: Mako Logics LLC, 550 Club Dr #264, Montgomery, TX 77316
We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within two business days and, for issues we can reproduce, ship a fix or a clear plan within fourteen days.
Alternative access
If the website isn’t working for you and you need to get information about our services, reach a human, or ask a question, please call (281) 206-4848 or email support@makologics.com. A real engineer will answer. We will work with you to provide the same information and assistance through a channel that works for you.
Ongoing review
We re-test the site for accessibility regressions at each deploy using automated tools and periodic manual review, including keyboard-only navigation and screen-reader passes. When we discover a regression, we fix it. When visitors report one, we fix it faster.
This statement is reviewed at least annually and updated whenever we make material changes to the site. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
